VP – CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Ivor Stevenson has over seventeen years’ experience as a strategy and operations consultant. He has worked with blue-chip organisations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the USA helping to test business strategies for investment, to launch new ventures, to transform existing operating models and to implement new telecom infrastructure. He has particular expertise in the telecoms sector as well as experience in FMCG, energy and emergency services.
At CSI, Ivor designs and leads a variety of senior programmes around consultative skills and behaviours across a variety of industries that complement his technology and engineering experience.
Ivor started his career as a graduate with British Gas, a period which included selection as a presenter of the prestigious Faraday Lecture. He lectured in twenty public venues across the UK and Ireland as well as hosting a television transmission for the BBC and a live satellite broadcast to Canada.
In 1995 he joined Mason Communications (a specialist telecoms consultancy) to launch their first regional operation in the UK. He moved on to head a new US subsidiary before returning to the UK to lead the utilities sector practice and latterly the telecoms practice. During this period he developed a number of successful training programmes covering consultative selling and core consulting skills, for internal use.
In 2005 Ivor joined Deloitte working on large post-merger integration programmes and the design of new operating models for telecoms businesses which were facing an increasing competitive threat from the IT and media industries. Subsequently he joined Mott MacDonald as their Head of Telecoms, Media & Technology leading a number of strategy, business launch and operational change programmes in developing markets such as Africa and the Middle East.
Ivor holds a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA (distinction) from the University of Strathclyde Business School.
Outside work he is an FA qualified coach offering his expertise to an under-10s football team (with limited success so far!). He is also a keen musician, playing guitar and piano. Ivor is married with two children and lives in Cheshire.
