VP – COMMUNICATIONS

Kirstie Skates has eighteen years’ experience in strategy consulting and has a particular interest in working with individuals and organisations to enable them to manage change effectively.

At CSI, Kirstie works with clients in the UK and Europe, delivering a wide range of programmes including Change Management, Structured Communications, Presenting with Impact, Analytical Problem Solving, Career Planning and Coaching for Change.

Kirstie spent the first part of her career working for Proxicom, a NASDAQ-quoted e-business consultancy where she planned and managed a number of significant e-business initiatives including the development and launch of cahoot, Abbey National’s online bank.

Following the sale of Proxicom, Kirstie moved to SHM, a boutique London consultancy, where she gained wide experience of planning and delivering organisational and cultural change for organisations such as Diageo, Unilever, ICI and the Department of Health. Key areas of focus included conducting diagnostic research, developing new operating models, managing stakeholder analysis and evaluating progress. She was also instrumental in designing and delivering leadership and change programmes for executives and their staff to embed behavioural change.

Most recently, Kirstie managed a joint business-academic research project focused on developing new insights into the causes of conflict and its resolution.

Kirstie has an MA in Experimental Psychology from Somerville College, Oxford and a Professional Diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing). She is also an executive coach with a credential from the International Coach Federation.

Outside of work, Kirstie enjoys competing in triathlons, open water swimming and is attempting to learn to ski (encouraged by her fearless 4 and 6 year old children!)
