VP – SERVICES
Marc de Marcillac is VP of Services for CSI and has a 20-year international career in the IT and telecommunications industry.
He is responsible for developing new services for CSI and its clients, using his background in Cisco’s Service Creation methodologies, combined with long experience as a management consultant in the technology sector.
Originally trained as a lawyer, Marc started his career at IBM, focusing initially on key client account sales. He then trained as a management consultant, as IBM grew its services business and sought to develop its consulting organisation. This role took Marc all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa, consulting mainly with public sector clients wanting to leverage technology to effect national transformation. in 2000, he moved from the UK to the Gulf, and took up a role with IBM’s exclusive Agent in the region, GBM. Here, he ran the country Professional Services organisation in Oman, and then took over consulting for the region, working extensively all over the Gulf and Pakistan.
In 2005, he became Sales Director at Omantel, the incumbent telco, and drove the transformation of the sales operation to prepare for privatisation and competition. He also introduced ADSL broadband services, and took the country’s MPLS and e-Government networks to market. In 2007, Marc joined Cisco’s consulting operation in Dubai, with responsibility for service creation across Emerging Markets, before moving back to the UK with Cisco in 2009.
Marc brings technology and telecommunications expertise to the CSI team, together with wide executive leadership, and management consulting experience. He is bilingual English/French, and enjoys spending time with his family in South Western France.
